- There is a slight delay in shipping called a proof delay that allows me to both get you access to your proofs as soon as possible, but still allow me to retouch the photographs as needed. By only retouching and finalizing the pictures that you want, it allows me to spend more time with each desired photo and provide you with better results at a better value.
- Prints are offered in the ratio that best fits the photograph and that means a 4:3 ratio. In order to get that ratio, sometimes the sizes are slightly different. If you would prefer the standard size please let me know. I would be more than happy to accomodate that, but it will require some cropping of the photograph. For some prints that is not noticable but for others it can produce less than ideal results.
- Absolutely! It is impossible for us to know what size print will be ordered for each picture we take. Therefore, we leave cropping until the very end - after you select your photo and size. You can then crop during checkout or we will gladly handle that as well.
- There are many reasons why they might look different. The most common reason is that different monitors and LCDs have slightly different color reproduction. Another possibility is that I retouched the picture during the proof delay to optimize the print. But since there is no proof delay on a digital negative download, you received the original file. If this is the case, I will be glad to email you the retouched file at no additional charge.
- I use a contract in order to ensure that everyone involved has the same expectations. In addition, having this contract allows me to post your pictures online so that you can get your memories much more rapidly - without the need for a dedicated proof review session.
- Yes we can do fundraising partnerships! At no charge to your organization, we will come out and take portraits or other photographs and post them in a special gallery. When orders are placed from that gallery, a percentage of the profits will be donated to your organization.
